【析形】甲骨文字形为会意字，下像熔炉的基座，上从双手持盖，中像被熔铸的金属，会以手持盖熔铸金属之意。金文字形增意符金（表示金属熔铸）和声符.jpg)

【释义】《说文》：“销金也。”本义铸造，指熔炼金属或以液态非金属材料浇制成器的统称。铸是铸造金属器皿，以此类比，引申为造就（人才）、锤炼（文辞）。[陶铸]原指制作陶范并用以铸造金属器物，比喻造就、培育。
